Procedure description
- In order to recognize the title of doctor obtained abroad, the interested person draws up a file that will contain the following documents: the request for recognition, the doctoral diploma and a copy of the doctoral thesis.
- All the documents, scanned in pdf format, after being uploaded to the platform, will be originally submitted to the TUIASI Registry or sent by post, with acknowledgment of receipt, to the address: Blvd Prof. Dimitrie Mangeron no. 67, 700050, Iasi, Romania.
- Afterwards, the file will be submitted to an evaluation commission that draws up an analysis report according to the procedure deadline.
- If necessary, the commission may request additional documents. The analysis report regarding the approval or non-approval of the request for recognition of the diploma, prepared by the commission, is submitted to the TUIASI Senate which issues a Decision which can be appelead take into account the procedure conditions.
- The recognition by the \"Gheorghe Asachi\" Technical University of Iasi of the doctoral diploma and the doctoral degree obtained in abroad is valid and produces legal effects only at the \"Gheorghe Asachi\" Technical University of Iasi level.
- The Senate' decision can be appealed within 30 days from the communication by a reasoned request that is submitted to the University Registry.
- The appeals are resolved within 30 days from the date of registration by an appeals settlement commission consisting of 5 members appointed by the Rector's decision, which is issued within 5 days from the registration of the appeal.
- In case the appeal is submitted before the period of 30 days prior to the beginning of the teaching holiday, the term for solving it is extended from the first day of the academic year. The deadlines for resolving and issuing decisions are calculated from this date.
- The answer to the appeal is communicated directly, by email, or by post by registered letter, with acknowledgment of receipt, to the applicant or the person empowered by it, on the basis of signature and date, by the Rectorate - Doctoral Service.

Appeal routes
- Hotărârea Senatului poate fi contestată în termen de 30 de zile de la comunicare printr-o cerere motivată care se depune la Registratura Universității.
- Contestațiile sunt soluționate în termen de 30 zile de la data înregistrării de către o comisie de soluționare a contestațiilor formată din 5 membri numiți prin decizia Rectorului care se emite în termen de 5 zile de la înregistrarea contestaţiei.
- În situaţia în care contestaţia este depusă înaintea perioadei de 30 de zile anterioare începerii vacanţei didactice, termenul de soluţionare a acesteia se prorogă începând cu prima zi a anului universitar. Termenele de soluţionare şi de emitere a deciziilor se calculează începând cu această dată.
- Răspunsul la contestație se comunică în mod direct, email, sau prin poștă prin scrisoare recomandată cu confirmare de primire solicitantului sau persoanei împuternicite de acesta, pe baza de semnătură și dată, de către Rectorat - Serviciul Doctorat.
