According to this procedure, the quality of PhD Supervisor obtained in an accredited higher education institution abroad is automatically recognized within the University of Pite?ti. The procedure applies to the Romanian citizens and to the citizens of the Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation who have obtained the quality of PhD Supervisor in accredited higher education institutions of the Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation and in prestigious universities form other States included in the \"List of prestigious universities from other States\" approved according to the OMECTS No. 5825/2016 and regularly updated, in order to settle in the territory of Romania. Only in the case of the temporary practice, the provisions of the Law no 200/2004 and of the Article 296 of the Law of National Education No. 1/2011 directly apply: \"(1) The reserved, vacant or temporary vacant teaching positions, shall be covered with priority by the tenure teaching staff of the institution or by the associated teaching staff, by hourly pay, according to this law. (2) The employment of specialists of scientific and professional value recognized in the field in the country or abroad, as invited associate teaching staff, shall be endorsed by the council of department and approved by the board of directors.\" The exercise of the rights granted by the quality of PhD Supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system shall be carried out in accordance with the legal rules in force. Remedies at law : The appeal shall be submitted to the University of Pite?ti, the Doctoral Studies Department within 10 business days. Subsequently, the university's final decision may be appealed to courts.

This procedure establishes how the University of Pite?ti carries out the automatic recognition of the PhD diploma and doctorate title in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad according to the provisions of the Order of the MENCS No. 5923 of December 6, 2016 to approve the Methodology for the recognition of the PhD diploma and doctorate title in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad. This procedure applies to the holders of PhD diplomas in science or in a professional field, obtained in: a) accredited institutions of higher education or research and development in a Member State of the European Union, of the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation; b) accredited institutions of higher education or research and development included in the List of prestigious universities from other States, approved by the order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research, regularly updated; c) accredited institutions of higher education or research and development which are the subject of an international convention for mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level; All applicants who do not fall within one of the above-mentioned situations shall directly address to the National Centre for Equivalence and Recognition of Diplomas (CNRED) within the relevant Ministry The recognition by the University of Pite?ti of the PhD diploma and doctorate title in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad, according to the provisions of this procedure, shall be carried out on the basis of the submission of a recognition file by the interested people. Remedies at law : The appeal shall be submitted to the University of Pite?ti, the Doctoral Studies Department within 15 business days. Subsequently, the university's final decision may be appealed to courts.

The purpose of this procedure is to internally implement the Methodology for the automatic recognition by the higher education institutions of the teaching academic ranks obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, approved by the Order of the Ministry of National Education No 5.922 of December 6, 2016 and to establish the responsibilities of UPIT regarding the obligations due under the mentioned legal provisions. The procedure applies within the University of Pite?ti for the automatic recognition of the teaching academic ranks obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad. The provisions of this procedure apply to the Romanian citizens, to the citizens of Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation and to the citizens of third countries. The applicants are eligible and may submit applications for the automatic recognition of the teaching academic ranks, if these teaching academic ranks have been obtained in one of the following categories of higher education institutions: a) accredited institutions of higher education or research and development in a Member State of the European Union, of the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation; b) accredited institutions of higher education or research and development included in the List of prestigious universities from other States, approved by the order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research, regularly updated (now OMEN No. 5462 of 2018); c) accredited institutions of higher education or research and development which are the subject of an international convention for mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level; The applicants who do not fall within one of the above-mentioned situations shall directly address to the National Centre for Equivalence and Recognition of Diplomas of the Ministry of National Education (CNRED). Remedies at law The applicant may appeal the Rector's Decision within 5 business days after receipt, by submitting a reasoned appeal to the UPIT Record Office. The final decision of the university may be appealed to courts.
